The final output of the SUCSESS project is ready! The SUCSESS project digital handbook is 100 pages long and contains lots of valuable insights gathered with the help of an international team of educators into the latest topics of learning and teaching in universities.
The first chapter of the handbook discusses the SUCSESS project, reveals the need for a manual like this and states the purpose of the handbook. As one of the main aims of the SUCSESS project has been to increase the employability of South African university graduates, the issue of employability is discussed as well. Then, the manual goes on to explore the innovative teaching practices and techniques, e.g., design thinking methods, gallery walk and fishbowl, with plenty of examples and tips for how to apply the methods in practice. Further, the manual gives detailed instructions for how to develop a teaching portfolio. Then, there are several case studies from the South African context about how to apply the innovative methods in a university setting. In the end, there is a conclusion and a glossary.
Have a look inside our manual and learn more about the outcomes of the project, and especially how universities can enhance teaching and learning in practice!
